Its all about the MONEY!!!

*UPDATED AS OF February 28th, 2015*

In 2001, The Watchtower Society was reported as being one of the top 40 NYC corporations with an Annual revenue of 951 million dollars. Where does all of that money go?

If you don't believe the information below, please check with your local elder. Please remember, you have to sound as if you are curious. Asking in a rude manner, or arguing with an elder will get you in trouble.

This is how the old system worked....

Every Kingdom Hall is built on a loan from the WTBTS. That loan was given out of donated money! That loan has to be paid back with interest by each individual congregations. If that loan is not paid in a month, the body of elders of each congregation have to use their own money and pay out of their own pocket, or somehow raise money to pay for the loan.

In 2014 however, there has been a new letter to the Body of Elders sent out to the society.

In 2015, there has been an even newer arrangement to read it, scroll all the way down.

The letter states that ALL congregations have been forgiven their debts. But, they are to PERMANENTLY send in donations to the society in an amount that's either EQUAL TO, or GREATER than their previous mortgage payments. It's like a NEVER ENDING Debt. It's a compulsory "Donation" that EACH CONGREGATION HAS to send in to the society.

Now let's do some math.....

The letter says that there are 13000 Kingdom Hall PROJECTS  and 35 assembly hall PROJECTS in progress worldwide.

Total Congregations Worldwide: 113,823

If on a monthly basis, each congregation gives

US$ 100 The WTBTS gets US$ 11,382,300 - That's over 11 MILLION DOLLARS!!! PER MONTH!!!
Annually = US$ 136,587,600

US$ 200 The WTBTS gets US$ 22,764,600 - That's over 22.5 MILLION DOLLARS!!! PER MONTH!!!
Annually = US$ 273,175,200

US$ 300 The WTBTS gets US$ 34,146,900 - That's over 34 MILLION DOLLARS!!! PER MONTH!!!
Annually = US$ 409,762,800

This time.... the WTBTS has hit the ultimate JACKPOT!!! raking in millions of dollars from the congregations worldwide, making them believe that this is what "Jehovah" wants. In reality.... About over 80 percent of witnesses accept everything without question from the society. This reminds me of the November Watchtower Study edition, where the society tells the rank and file members, "at that time the life-saving message that they receive must be obeyed, even if it seems unpractical from a human standpoint".

An additional thing that the letter mentions is that there is a need for 13,000 Kingdom Hall projects, and 35 Assembly halls. MOST witnesses automatically figure that 13000 Kingdom Halls are needed... In reality, If you built 13,000 Kingdom Halls, each with just 1 congregation and 50 publishers in total, you would need 650,000 new publishers!!! But the growth the society has, is not equivalent to 650,000 Publishers per year. Let's take a look at the real growth:

This factual information is based on the 2014, and 2013 yearbook provided on wol.jw.org

2012 2013
Increase

Total Average Publishers 7,538,994 7,698,377
159,383

Baptized 268,777 277,344
8,567

Total Peak Publishers 7,782,346 7,965,954
183,608

If you divide the increase of the Total Average Publishers of 159,383 by 50 publishers per congregation, per Kingdom Hall, you would have 3188 Kingdom Halls that would be required to be built.
If you divide the increase of the Total Peak Publishers of 183,608 by 50 publishers per congregation, per Kingdom Hall, you would have 3672 Kingdom Halls that would be required to be built.

If you divide the number of people baptized in 2013 of 277,344 by 50 publishers per congregation, per Kingdom Hall, you would have 5547 Kingdom Halls that would be required to be built. But the number of baptized cannot be taken into consideration due to the fact that they were already publishers before getting baptized. The congregations counts publishers, not the number of baptized witnesses. The number of baptized just shows how many people actually went all the way to believe the organization and hand-over their lives to the organization. Number of baptized also shows the org how many people can commit to pioneering, either auxiliary or regular.

I used the number 50 to show an extremely low number of publishers per congregation. However, if you increase that number to 100.... the number of Kingdom Halls decrease even further, not counting the fact that most Kingdom Halls are shared by at least 2 congregations. At that rate, you would have to divide by 200. For example, if you divide the Total Average Publishers of 159,383 by 100 publishers for 2 congregations, per Kingdom Hall, you would have 797 Kingdom Halls that would be required to be built. If you divide the Total Peak Publishers of 183,608 by 100 publishers for 2 congregations, per Kingdom Hall, you would have 918 Kingdom Halls that would be required to be built.

If I confused you, I apologize :) The point of the above was to show that 13,000 Kingdom Halls is just a ridiculously high number for witnesses to think that they are growing that much.

In fact, now with this new arrangement, I doubt that the society is going to be investing that much money into building new Kingdom Halls, unless of course, with the intent to get more monthly income from them. They will also MOST LIKELY STOP doing Kingdom Hall renovations.... because renovating a kingdom hall will now directly cost them money out of their own pockets.

They just bought another property near Warwick for 8 million dollars!!! They will be manufacturing bathrooms to take to Warwick!!! Just how many bathrooms do they need? Whatever happened to simplifying? They could've built normal small bathrooms, instead of luxurious bathrooms that they would need to manufacture in one place, then transfer to another. Who really knows how much more they own!!! For the new purchase, go to this link... If you dont believe it, call up the NY bethel and verify the purchase and ask for the purchasing department.

So the only part that costs WTBTS money is when it comes to the  printing of books and magazines. The rest is done by volunteers for free. In addition, all those volunteers worldwide, presently at at almost 8 million people donate money to their local WTBTS branches, and also to the headquarters.

How much money do they need? Selling buildings has been the specialty of the WTBTS. They buy a building, renovate it with free labor, then resell the building for double or triple the value. And then they keep asking for more money from their rank and file members.

The purpose of the 1st circuit overseer visit in 2013 was to beg for money. Now you can donate online with a credit card. Where does all of that money go? There's no real accountability.

Local congregations show accountability. Where is the accounts report from the WTBTS headquarters?

In 2015, there has been an even newer arrangement of building Kingdom Halls that are commercially designed. This was showed in a video-conference to all of the elders in the US. Most likely the rank and file Jehovah's Witnesses do not know about this new plan. However, all those new Kingdom Halls are going to be built using their donations. Why would a religious organization build a commercially styled place of worship? So that it can be readily sold to new bidders who are willing to pay money. The new Kingdom halls can be readily converted into a bank, a restaurant, or any other business. Was Solomon's temple built with a commercial-applications plan? Was Solomon ever planning on selling his temple?

People are too blind to see the scam and keep donating their hard-earned money to an organization that's after their money in more subtle ways than any church. I hope someone wakes up and smell the truth for what it really is. Do lots of research. This organization has a lot to hide and hopes you never find out because the Internet is filled with information that will show that this organization teaches the Bible in a twisted manner. They label everything else as apostate and worldly, and show themselves as the truth. They are afraid that you'll find out the truth about them, and then leave them, which will mean lesser income. Jwfacts is a good place to find out how the JW's have been duped. I too was duped for 20 years.... until I found out the real truth.

Who really is the Faithful and Discreet slave?

If you are a witnesses, there is something you should know. I am not mentally diseased, and I am not a worshipper of Satan. I am a Jehovah's Witness who has decided to help his brothers and sisters open their eyes. My dear brother / sister, you wont believe this but your eyes are just as blind as eve's eyes were. Your eyes are blinded by your God of this system of things.... the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.

This article is for those who want to know about Jehovah's Witnesses, or existing Jehovah's Witnesses who want to know about the new light of the NEW Faithful and Discreet slave (FDS). Please keep in mind, this was a parable that Jesus spoke in Matthew 24:45. This article quotes from the Watchtower Magazine of July 15, 2013, pg. 22-25. This article is available for free on www dot jw dot org. All Bible quotations have been taken from the New World Translation (NWT), unless otherwise explicitly specified. Objective and independent review of some of the paragraphs are given by me.

Paragraph 2The timely spiritual food we receive is proof that Jesus, the Head of the congregation, is keeping his promise to feed us. Through whom is he doing so? When giving the sign of his presence, Jesus said that he would use “the faithful and discreet slave” to give “food at the proper time” to his domestics.* (Read Matthew 24:45-47.) That faithful slave is the channel through which Jesus is feeding his true followers in this time of the end. It is vital that we recognize the faithful slave. Our spiritual health and our relationship with God depend on this channel.—Matt. 4:4; John 17:3.

Opinion: If you dont use that channel, you cant connect / communicate with God. You will have no spiritual health, and will be in spiritual starvation. When the time comes, God WILL destroy you because you didnt use that channel.

Paragraph 3How, then, are we to understand Jesus’ illustration about the faithful slave? In the past, our publications have said the following: At Pentecost 33 C.E., Jesus appointed the faithful slave over his domestics. The slave represents all anointed Christians on earth as a group at any one time since then. The domestics refer to the same anointed ones as individuals. In 1919, Jesus appointed the faithful slave “over all his belongings”—all his earthly Kingdom interests. However, further careful study and prayerful meditation indicate that our understanding of Jesus’ words about the faithful and discreet slave needs to be clarified. (Prov. 4:18) Let us examine the illustration and how it involves us, whether we have the heavenly or the earthly hope.

Opinion: At Pentecost 33 CE, Jehovah's WItnesses didnt even exist. The organization claims that "Bible Students" (BS) were serving as the Faithful and discreet slave. Those BS were supposed to be feeding the domestics. The domestics were the BS in an individual sense. The idea was similar to a kitchen with many cooks. The cooks cooked, and then individually they ate the food. That was the understanding until this article in 2013. That means that whatever the witnesses understood until this point may no longer be true. Further careful study and prayerful meditation? I thought they had done that before! or they didnt study enough and prayerfully meditate enough?
In life, when something needs to be clarified, it means that a minor misunderstanding needs to be corrected. Usually in the part of the one who is supposed to be the followers, not the leaders. In other words, the followers had the misunderstanding, not the leaders.

Paragraph 4 The context of the illustration of the faithful and discreet slave shows that it began to be fulfilled, not at Pentecost 33 C.E., but in this time of the end. Let us see how the Scriptures lead us to this conclusion.

Opinion: This means that 33 CE had nothing to do with this illustration. In fact, This illustration or parable was supposed to begin to be fulfilled in "this time of the end".

Paragraph 4The illustration of the faithful slave is part of Jesus’ prophecy about “the sign of [his] presence and of the conclusion of the system of things.” (Matt. 24:3) The first portion of the prophecy, recorded at Matthew 24:4-22, has two fulfillmentsfirst, in the years from 33 C.E. through 70 C.E., and second, in a more far-reaching way in our day. Does this mean that Jesus’ words about the faithful slave would also have two fulfillments? No.
Opinion: That's the prophecy where Jesus talked about the end of this system of things.... So the prophecy was divided into 2 parts. The first part talks about the end of the system of things in Matthew 24:4-22.... and has 2 fulfillments. The second part, which only talks about the slave has 1 fulfillment in our day

If you read Matthew 24, you will see a lot more things that were prophesied by Jesus. Including Matthew 24: 23 “Then if anyone says to YOU, ‘Look! Here is the Christ,’+ or, ‘There!’ do not believe it.+ 24 For false Christs+ and false prophets+ will arise and will give great signs+ and wonders so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen ones.+ 25 Look! I have forewarned YOU.+ 26 Therefore, if people say to YOU, ‘Look! He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out; ‘Look! He is in the inner chambers,’ do not believe it.

The Double fulfillment is so typical Watchtower talk. For them, everything has 2 fulfillments. Did Jesus say anywhere that his prophecy was to be divided into 2 parts, and going to have 2 fulfillments? Imagine you rent your house to a family. The family takes your house, divides it into 3,and rents out the other 2 sections to other people. Not only was dividing the house not in the contract, it was also illegal. Now, the Bible is supposed to be utilized unchanged, and is supposed to be a book from God. The Watchtower has taken this one prophecy in the Bible and divided it into 3 parts. The first part and the second part, and then the part with the slave has only 1 fulfillment. They have done the same with several other parts of the Bible.

The Truth

This article has quotes from the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society publications. If you are a Jehovah's witness and are afraid to read this article, I understand you. I was once in the same boat as you. I was afraid to read any material on the internet about my beliefs because I thought that I would be directly going against the counsel of the "governing body". I was also afraid that perhaps my beliefs would crumble, and then I would have nowhere to go to. But, reading an article like this helped me a LOT!!! It helped me to see and learn the Truth about the Truth.

The purpose of this post is to help me to jot down all the things that I've been through, and to help me paint a clearer picture on how what I've known as the Truth differs from all the other christian religions. At the same time however, you as a reader of this blog can benefit from all the things written. I hope that this blog also helps you to better understand the Bible and how the truth functions. If you are a Jehovah's Witness, or if you have been studying with the Jehovah's Witnesses, this article will help you understand all the steps you have been through, or have to go through. If you are disfellowshipped and would like to be reinstated, this article will help you to understand if it's all worth it. The best way to read this article is by continuing to read the whole article, rather than letting prejudices from your past knowledge hinder your ability to comprehend the things written here.

*******************************

Jehovah's witnesses think that there are 3 things that are necessary for a person to enter into the "truth". The truth as they learn it, and the truth as they teach it. Those 3 things are as follows:
  1. Jehovah chose that person to be in his organization
  2. An open heart
  3. Humility
Have you thought of becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses? Then, you should consider reading this article. Many Witnesses will tell you to avoid reading any material on the Internet about their beliefs.

The Watchtower Public edition of November, 2012 states the following: "The Bible has much to say about faith. Yet nowhere does it encourage us to be gullible or naive. Nor does it condone mental laziness. On the contrary, it labels people who put faith in every word they hear as inexperienced, even foolish. (Proverbs 14:15, 18) Really, how foolish it would be for us to accept an idea as true without checking the facts! That would be like covering our eyes and trying to cross a busy street just because someone tells us to do it." So, you should always check for facts.

This article has been written with a lot of love, unconditional love for you as a human being. My goal as an author of this blog is to save you a lifetime of heartache, separation from family and friends, misinterpretation of the Bible, and slavery to a religion that likes to control every aspect of your life, which includes the way you speak, act and dress, the place you work, your goals in life, etc.

The students of Jehovah's Witnesses come from every walk of life. They can be old or young, man or woman. They can be from any culture in the world, regardless of their previous beliefs. Presently there are over 8 million Jehovah's Witnesses in the world. It's a Marketing Scam. That was brought to my attention by a top executive of a thriving bank. That's like saying, 8 million Jehovah's Witnesses can't be wrong.

However, what makes so many people from different walks of life join this religion? What makes so many people abandon their families and go preaching door to door? What makes so many people refuse to look into the religion's history, yet dig deep into the Bible's history of the Israelites? What makes so many people believe the ideas of the Governing Body, even if they are contrary to the Bible? For example: Revelation 19:1 in the New World Translation states that the Great crowd was in heaven. The book "Revelation and it's Grand Climax" written by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, completely ignores the beginning part of that verse and just focuses on Hallelujah which appears at the end of that verse. Revelation 20 verse 5 states that the dead will be raised up after the 1000 years are over and be judged for their actions in their lifetime. While Witnesses believe that once a person dies, he or she has received the punishment of sin, which is death. Why then will they be judged a second time after the 1000 years? The Bible Teach books says that the people "must have been resurrected during the 1000 years" and then judged after the 1000 years for the thousand years they spent on the earth. But, that's not written anywhere. As the Bible says, we should not go beyond the things that are written.

Reality is that there are 3 things that causes a person to join this religion

  1. Rebellion - Rebellion from all the beliefs that they had learnt before, and that the family had in the past. Rebellion against family members and friends. Why? so that they can be different. Different from everyone else that they know to be average. That way they can have a name and belong to an organization. They can argue with family members and pretend to be smarter. In fact, it takes a lot of humility to recognize that what we have been following has been foolishness. We have been worshiping the Governing Body. How many JW's do you hear say Praise Jehovah? or Hallelujah?
  2. Stubbornness - Stubbornness in refusing to analyze the details of the new religion. Stubbornness in refusing to analyze the past of the religion and also performing any research. Stubborness in closing their minds and believing that they now have the truth. It is very difficult to open someone's mind if they close their mind's eye.
  3. Hypocrisy - Yes! Hypocrisy! Jehovah's Witnesses are filled with this. There are very few Jehovah's Witness that lack this, however, the majority are filled with Hypocrisy! How can you treat your Brother or Sister so nicely, and then stab them in the back? How can pedophiles abuse little boys and girls and not face any punishment by the organization, unless there are 2 eye-witnesses present? How can a witness love someone, and the moment they make a mistake, completely abandon them to die? Those are fake friends with love that's conditional. Jesus taught of love that's unconditional. He ate with the sinners. He was a Jew and he ate with the sinning Jews. He forgave the prostitute and healed the leper whom no one was supposed to touch. There are so many witnesses who live double lives.
Those are the best reasons I could think of as to why would someone be a part of the religion Jehovah's Witnesses. If you have any opinions that can give further insight into the Witness psyche, I would appreciate it.
If you dont understand any part of this blog, please leave a comment, and I'll clarify.
Issues with the "Truth"....

  1. The Governing Body..... JW's treat the Governing Body(GB) like they are God. Up until the year 2012, the Governing body along with all the anointed were considered as the "Faithful and Discreet Slave" (FDS). Then, in 2012, the GB decided to strip the anointed off their title of being the FDS, and made the anointed at the same level as the other sheep. Do you think that a group of 8 men can dictate what God thinks or wants you to do? Was there a Governing Body in the New Testament? You might say yes because that's what was taught to you by the Watchtower. In fact, there was no Governing Body in Jerusalem. Paul was going to Jerusalem because prior to that, 2 men from Jerusalem came down to Antioch and started teaching the church that circumcision was necessary for salvation. They had learned that from Jerusalem. Paul was going to Jerusalem not to report to a governing body, but rather to discuss with the elders and apostles (of Jesus) about the issue of circumcision. Look at the Bible book of Acts 15 to get clear guidance instead of the Bible hopping technique that the Watchtower uses in explaining the Governing body. There was another time also that Paul was called to Jerusalem because he was teaching that circumcision was not necessary for salvation. At that time, the elders and apostles of Jesus were accusing Paul, and he needed to ceremonially cleanse himself (Acts 21)
  2. The memorial....... have you ever been to a memorial yet? You can see the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ being passed in front of you, but you can't partake. A part of being the disciple of Jesus involved partaking of the Bread and Wine which were supposed to represent the flesh and blood of Jesus. Jesus showed his disciples both before, and after his death, how they were supposed to commemorate his death. They were supposed to partake of the bread and the wine, not just see it passing around while no one partakes of it. It's like a joke. By not obeying Jesus' command in regards to the way they are supposed to commemorate his death, they are disobeying him.
  3. NWT Bible...... The New World Translation of the Bible is a lost case. Several verses have been changed to match the Witness belief system. The words apostate is not found in most other Bibles. Several verses contradict the beliefs of JW's. If a person does a verse by verse investigation, they will realize that several verses don't match the witness teachings. They would also realize that the witnesses claim that the New Testament was written primarily for the anointed. If that's the case, shouldn't the anointed be the ones reading the New Testament? If the Bible was a loving gift from God himself, then that gift should be applicable to everyone equally. If the Bible is a letter to all mankind, then the Bible should say which parts apply to mankind, and which part to the anointed. But since there's no such differentiation, you can take the Bible and interpret it however you want, and apply it to whomever you want.
  4. Anointed...... If the holy spirit could show the anointed that they are anointed, cant it also show the other sheep that they belong to the other sheep class? After all, the other sheep also pray for the same holy spirit that helps in the fulfilling of Jehovah's purposes. The same holy spirit is also present at the meetings and when 2 or more are gathered. Instead,if someone says that they are of the anointed class, they are often met with ridicule, and people act like its impossible. Does someone HAVE to be a Jehovahs Witness to be considered as an anointed? If you are a Jehovah's Witness, I know you are laughing because its worse when a non-Jehovahs Witness says that they are anointed.
  5. Donations.... where does your money really go? Has the Watchtower EVER given a financial accounting to all it's members as to how the money is used? Every congregation has to give an accounts report to the Watchtower and the congregation publishers.... what about the watchtower organization? Or, is it that they are only accountable to Jehovah? Does Jehovah sit down with them in NYC and check their books?
  6. Pedophilia.... Instead of protecting children, the WTBTS focuses on protecting the pedophile. According to the WTBTS, a child needs 2 eye witnesses to show that a member abused the child sexually. The WTBTS believes that Pedophilia is a sin, but not a crime. And so the pedophile shouldnt go to jail. Instead, elders lovingly help the pedophile to go out more in field service so that he can encounter more children on the way.
  7. Holy Spirit.....Sins against the holy spirit are not forgiven. JW's say that the holy spirit is the active force of God. It's like electricity that Jehovah God uses to fulfill his purposes. Sin is something that is done against a person who has life, or who can take action. Can you sin against a wall? or against electricity? against water? Is it possible to sin against light? You can sin against God by doing something that the Bible says not to do, but can you sin against something that's from God? If logically speaking that were the case, then Sin against the earth, water, or air should also be unforgivable. But that's not the case. Hence, the Holy spirit has to be an entity that you can sin against, and the almighty wont forgive you for it. At the end of the book of Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus said for his desciples to preach throughout the world and make disciples in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. WHY is the name of the Holy Spirit included with that Father and Son if it's only a force that the almighty uses? Would you put your name next to electricity? For example, would you tell people to celebrate your graduation in your name and electricity's name? Funny, right?
  8. No Blood.......  JW's believe that you cant accept blood transfusions.... well, sorta. You can take minor fractions though. You cant even receive your own blood that has flown out of your body. But, those rules have been changed by the society. So you can eat the raisins inside the cake, but not the cake itself. You can also eat the nuts, but not the cake. Where do the fractions come from? They are not synthetically made, they are extracted from someone else's blood. Can you eat red meat? Beef is a red meat, and no matter how long you wash it, blood is still going to flow out of it. JW's eat beef all the time. They eat blood!!!
  9. Prayer...... You can only pray to Jehovah for things that are in accordance with his will. According to the WTBTS, God's will for mankind is for us to vindicate his name, and to make his name known. To make his name known means to make the name Jehovahs Witnesses known, or for Jehovahs Witnesses to increase their preaching work. If your prayer is related to anything other than that, your prayers wont be answered. So if you have cancer, or want to have a healthy life, or want a child, or anything else that you believe only God can give to you, good luck! according to the Watchtower, your prayer wont be answered by God .
